The investigation was launched after learning about alleged drug dealing out of an area hoe.

While executing a search warrant at the home on Wednesday, July 20, the spokesperson said that investigators seized:

  • More than 600 grams of marijuana;
  • “A quantity” of oxycodone;
  • Packaging materials;
  • Manufacturing equipment.;
  • Four loaded polymer 80 handguns;
  • A loaded privately-made AR-15 style pistol.

Officials noted that none of the weapons had serial numbers.

Burley was arrested at the scene and charged with possession with the intent to distribute, drug trafficking with a firearm, and other related charges, according to the sheriff's office.

In the days following his arrest, investigators added that a judge ordered Burley could be released from the Charles County Detention Center as long as he meets the conditions for electronic monitoring, despite the big drug bust.

The investigation is ongoing.
